Chief Operating Officer bids farewell to NERC after nine years
30 May 2019
NERC Executive Chair Professor Duncan Wingham announced today that, after nine years with NERC, Paul Fox will be leaving this coming September.
Paul leaves NERC operations and projects in a very strong position, having led NERC's substantial portfolio of infrastructure projects, including the construction of the RRS Sir David Attenborough, now close to completion, and the GRO programme to establish the British Geological Survey Board and to move the National Oceanography Centre and the Centre for Ecology & Hydrology to independence. All of these are in a very good position to continue to delivery in the near future.
Professor Wingham said:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Paul for his many years of hard work at NERC. NERC, including its major projects, are well positioned for the future. Paul has played a major role at NERC, and will leave us in a very strong position to meet future challenges.
