This two-day course provided a comprehensive overview of the application of quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) in metabolic phenotyping. The course was aimed at students and researchers who were actively working in the field. Experts who developed the application of QA and QC procedures within the field, led the course. It included both theoretical and practical components to:
- introduce QA and QC in metabolic phenotyping
- the application of QA and QC in untargeted and targeted studies
- preparation of QCs and data acquisition
- data processing and reporting standards.
The course finished with a question and answer session with a panel of experts.
The course was aimed at PhD students and post-doctoral researchers who had been actively applying metabolomics for a minimum of six months. If individuals wanted to attend the course but did not have the recommended level of experience they were to contact the course administrator for advice.
This course was free, including travel and accommodation, for PhD students and selected post-doctoral researchers funded by NERC (subject to availability).
