Challenge of science leadership training

27-28 March 2018

The challenge of science leadership (CSL) training course has been custom-made for scientists, academics and professionals working in the environment sector. It is highly interactive and provides a source of practical skills and methods linking knowledge with action. The course will enable you to develop your skills as a leader to support effective innovation, communication and collaboration. It will provide you with a set of tools and interactive learning experiences with a focus on three key areas:

  • How to influence others? - Practical leadership tools and strategies for effective communication with people inside and outside your organisation.
  • Thinking creatively and strategically - Encouraging individuals and to think more creatively and strategically about key opportunities.
  • Enabling action - Tools for the development of effective strategies and networks around your own big ideas, opportunities and projects.

The CSL tool kit will be used on your own ideas and material during the course and can be put to work immediately after the course has finished. Previous course participants have really valued the time to think and gain greater clarity about their work and career.

There are 20 spaces available on the course which will be delivered by Barefoot Thinking Company. The course will take place 09:00-17:30 each day and further details will be sent to delegates nearer to the date.
