NERC works with UK partners from the public sector to:
- maximise policy impact and understanding of world-leading environmental science in providing evidence and information
- enhance environmental research efficiency and coordination
- build and sustain long-term capacity between researchers and policy practitioners to develop, implement and evaluate policy.
NERC's support for UK partnerships is embedded across all of our funding streams. For example, we welcome UK project partners in all proposals for NERC research grants. NERC research centres, facilities and data centres play significant and influential roles in UK national science collaborations, negotiating access for UK scientists to a large range of world-renowned resources.
