 This event has now closed

A final science meeting for the Shelf Sea Biogeochemistry (SSB) programme was held at the University of Winchester, on Monday 5 June (10:00-18:00) and Tuesday 6 June (09:00-16:00). The purpose of the meeting was to collectively finalise the programme's scientific results, and to develop synthesis outputs and conclusions.

Those who have had substantive involvement in the SSB programme, either through fieldwork, modelling, data analysis or programme management, were invited to attend. Other meetings are planned later in the year to subsequently disseminate main policy-relevant outcomes to key stakeholders.

Accommodation in student rooms had been reserved for the nights of 4, 5 and 6 June, with costs paid by the programme. However, it was noted that such accommodation was limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees from Southampton and Portsmouth were encouraged to attend on a day delegate basis. Travel and subsistence costs was met by NERC but delegates needed follow the Research Council Travel, Subsistence & Expenses Policy (PDF) - external link - guidelines and be within the limits found in Appendix 2.

The main venue for the meeting was the Stripe conference centre, University of Winchester, Sparkford Road, Winchester, SO22 4NR.
