UK Shelf Sea Biogeochemistry: 2015 annual science meeting
24-25 November 2015 (Tuesday - Wednesday)
Plymouth Marine Laboratory (PML), Plymouth
This event has now closed
All researchers directly involved in the Shelf Sea Biogeochemistry (SSB) programme (either through research grant awards, research studentships, SSB cruise participation or SSB programme management) were invited to the 2015 annual science meeting, held at PML, Plymouth on Tuesday 24 (09:30-17:00) and Wednesday 25 November (09:00-16:00). The purpose of the meeting was to review progress made, particularly through the cruise programme. Whilst it was not expected that all data and samples would be analysed by then, this was a key meeting in assessing initial results, strengthening links between work packages (WP), and establishing whether or not SSB's main components, and the programme as a whole, were 'on track' to meet overall objectives.
Registration for this event closed on: 10 November 2015.
- Most participants were expected to make their own accommodation arrangements (the exception was for WP leaders, executive board members and advisory panel members, for whom a group booking was made).

- For those involved in the programme (as defined above), reasonable costs for travel and accommodation were met, expecting that two nights' accommodation, and possibly three, were required. A group dinner was provided on the evening of 24 November.
- The agenda for the meeting was developed, and circulated, to registered participants.
- There was an opportunity for WP-specific meetings to be held on Monday 23 November, also Thursday 26 November and Friday 27 November; arranged by WP leaders. Any extra costs for such meetings were met from existing budgets.
