Increasing Resilience to Natural Hazards in Earthquake Prone Regions of China – Guidance for full proposals

NERC, the Economic & Social Research Council (ESRC) and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) are inviting research proposals under a new strategic research programme which aims to increase social and economic resilience in earthquake-prone regions of China by reducing risks from multiple natural hazards. NERC, ESRC and NSFC are inviting full proposals from successful Expression of Interest applicants under this programme. Only applicants successful at the Expression of Interest stage are eligible to submit full proposals.

These are collaborative projects between the UK and China. Applicants from the UK must apply through Je-S with Chinese collaborators listed as Project Partners. Chinese applicants will apply through NSFC's system. Both applications will have a common Case for Support attached in each system. Successful grants will have their UK costs paid through Je-S and their Chinese costs paid through NSFC's system.
