Update – 1. The call closing date has been extended to the 20 October 2020. Proposals must be submitted by 16:00 on this date and no late applications will be accepted.
2. In anticipation of a large number of proposals being submitted to this Call, UKRI will now be introducing a pre-score for excellence stage to the Peer Review process in order that the business of the panel can be effectively managed.
3. The start date for successful proposals has changed from 15 May 2021 to 10 August 2021.

UK Research & Innovation are inviting applications for the role of UK SMMR Champion. The SMMR programme is supported through the Strategic Priorities Fund and will be jointly delivered by NERC and ESRC of behalf of UKRI, and in partnership with the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and Marine Scotland.
Update: The Notification of Intent step has been removed by the funders and applications are welcome from applicants who have not submitted a Notification of Intent already.
