NERC is inviting proposals for the first funding call as part of the UKRI Space Weather Instrumentation, Measurement, Modelling and Risk (SWIMMR).
SWIMMR is managed jointly by NERC and STFC and is funded by UKRI which has allocated ~£20M to this programme. The UK Met Office, as the UK delivery agency for space weather forecasts, will be the primary recipient for the models and instruments delivered by this research-to-operations programme.

UKRI invites proposals for interdisciplinary networks under the second wave of the SPF Clean Air programme, aiming to equip the UK to proactively tackle new and emerging air quality challenges.

Following a working group in May the proposed programme " The Form, Function and Future of UK Treescapes" was supported by Science Committee at its meeting in September. This programme will now be taken forward as a SPA, and NERC will look to develop a wider programme with other funders and stakeholders with a view to launching in 2020.

Come along to the Royal Society, London to explore the final products from across the programme, including not only the progression of research on drought forecasting, monitoring, prediction, risk, impact assessment and communication, but also the numerous multidisciplinary resources, tools, and datasets that have been developed, and in many cases, rolled out to various sectors.
