AHRC joins NERC-BBSRC policy internships
4 June 2014
The Arts & Humanities Research Council (AHRC) has joined the policy internship scheme previously run by NERC and the Biotechnology & Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC).
The scheme, which opens for applications today, gives PhD students funded by any of the three research councils the chance to spend three months working in an influential policy organisation.
Successful applicants will either contribute to a policy briefing paper, participate in a policy enquiry or organise a policy event or workshop.
The eight host organisations include three parliamentary bodies, where interns are likely to produce briefing notes (POST Notes) for parliamentarians, and five non-parliamentary organisations.
Further details about the scheme and application details are available on the policy internships page.
Closing date for applications is 16:00 on 18 August 2014.
