NERC grant regulations

16 December 2014

From January 2015, NERC will be taking a firmer stance on existing regulations for all grant submissions. This is to help ensure the fairness of the application process.

Applicants should take particular care over the following:

  • Grant costs: applicants should clearly justify all costs associated with proposals. Moderating panels will be reminded to check that costs are allowable and have been justified as reasonable requirements for the research proposed.

  • Rule adherence: applicants should adhere to the regulations set out in the relevant NERC handbooks eg cases for support should be of the correct length. Proposals not adhering to the rules will be automatically rejected and will not be returned to PI's for corrections.
