The British Geological Survey (BGS) invited Early Career Researchers from the UK and Mexico to attend a workshop on enhancing regional water security in semi-arid regions through improved metropolitan design.
Under the Researcher Links scheme, the British Council and CONACYT held a workshop on the above theme in Oaxaca, Mexico, on 14-17 November 2017. The workshop was coordinated by Andrew Barkwith (BGS) and Jose Luis Palacio-Prieto (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México), and had contributions from other leading researchers. BGS invited Early Career Researchers from the UK or Mexico to apply to attend this workshop. All travel and accommodation expenses was covered by the Newton Researcher Links programme.
